Risk Assessment

Risk Assessment

When producing my film sequence I had many important parts to think about to create a safe filming sequence. I was taken my actors outside to take some of the pictures, I took the actors to a public park so I had to make sure that the people around did not feel uncomfortable while I was taking pictures. I had a few images of romance so I had to make sure that they were public friendly.  I did not want to create offensive  so I made sure that scenes were away from the public eye.

I had to make sure that my actors were safe while I was taking the photos. As I was in a park their were many safety issues I had to make sure were made safe at the time. As there were parts when the actors were by a river I had to make sure that the actors kept away from the edge. Also while walking to the next scene pictures there were brunches and wholes in the ground so had to make sure everyone looked were they were walking so they didn't hurt themselves. One of the scenes was Ina car park, so I had to make sure that the actors knew and that they kept an eye on the cars coming in to the car park.

While being at a house environment I had to make sure that the floor was clean of any objects. I also made sure that as I have a dog that my actors knew that I had a dog and that no one was allergic to animals.

In my film sequence I did not use any props so I didn't have to worry about and safely issues surrounding the props.

Evaluation of Marxism

        Evaluation

In my essay I agree with the theorist Nasreen Munni Kabir, I do believe that the business class system should not be used anymore as it against human rights being segregated in to three business class systems, especially if you are business class C. You are living in the slums with nothing to your name. Everyone should be given the same rights. The other points I am going talk about the messages of films and a comparison of the three different films with the way they portray marxism. The films I am going to talk about are Slumdog Millionaire, The Boss, De Dana Dan, Bittoo Boss. I will be concluding my points I have made in my essay.

The theorist Nasreen Munni Kabir said that India is put in to a business class system A to C. A being a class that are the cites, B are slightly smaller towns and C centres are villages and rural areas. An Indian director Karan Johan stated that women in a village is a wife, a women is a mother a women is a sister, but a women as a friend? No way. When I was thinking of a film concept I decided to go for a women trying to have a boyfriend but her father not agreeing with this. So the girl was trying to lie about having friends. She instead was sneaking around to see a boy. I also made sure that the story line wasn't hard to understand as in India the C class haven't been educated in films. I thought as well a great way to show the class system was to make the clothing a big part of the film as well, so you will see a smart dressed lady, the man is in jeans. So trying to show the class system can be shown in more ways than just words.

The films that used the business class system to there advantage was the three films I picked, Slum dog Millionaire, The Boss, De Dana Dan and the Bittoo Boss. These all used the system to create there films. Slum dog millionaire is a western version uses the class system thought out the film. It is a completely different way of the class system, the boss film shoes a man becoming known in India as a Transport king. Then you look at De Dana Dan, where a man is used for slavery, which this changes the stereotype of slavery. It is generally men that are in charge and they boss the servants about and the servants generally tend to women. This films changes everything with the women being in charge and wealthy, as women are generally not taken seriously in businesses. In the film Bittoo Boss, where the man is in a low class system falls in love with a young educated women who tries to mend him and help him along with his business. Her father on the other hand isn't happy that the man wouldn't be able to provide for his daughter so is totally against the idea.

When I compare all of these films together they all use the class system, going deeper in to the comparison between Western Bollywood films and actual Bollywood made films Marxism is shown a lot more in Bollywood made films. They show the way that the people of a lower class are treated in Indian. Slumdog millionaire shows what living in the slums is like, but they don't not show how the people are treated when they are trying to get a better life. In actual Bollywood films you can actually see the different between the classes, especially by the clothing.another big difference between the two types of films is that the Bollywood made films have a lot more singing in them they communicate with the audience a lot more. They can send messages about love and hate though the use of singing and dancing.

In conclusion of my points, the Bollywood made films, The boss Da Dana Dan and Bittoo boss and many more have the best way of showing Marxism to the audience. They use not just great actors but they use cars, clothing and the settings of the films show the different class systems. The sound that they use is very strong, and creates a statement to the film. You will find that the colours of an actual Bollywood film are a lot stronger, more vibrant. This has always been an Indian trade of having bright colours. Mainly the Bollywood films have strong meaning to them making the audience think about the class system in Bollywood.

Treatment

Treatment

Act 1 scene 1

The first part of the film is going to be of a father and  his daughter sitting on a chair, I am going to have photos around the living room to show that it is a family home. I am going to look mostly at the wedding photo of my father and my mother. As having my father look at it having a point of interest for the conversation. I will have Danica sat on the three seated sofa and my father will be sat on the one seater sofa. I will have some music playing in the back ground to break the mood. I will have Danica wearing leggings and a shirt. My father will be wearing trousers and jumper, and his slippers. I am going to have just the actual room lighting, to show a homely environment.

Scene 2

This is where Danica gets in her car to go and see a friend, which the audience will know that Danica is going to see Sean, but her father doesn't know. I will have the day time lighting to help me with the lighting. Danica is going to have the same clothing on her. To stop the viewing audience from thinking there is continuity in the film. I am going to have Danica on a Bluetooth headset. So you see the blue flashing light in the camera and I am going have a side on view of myself in the car. This will give the look of Danica being in the car and driving. I will also have Danica talking to Sean as well. Danica will then arrive at the car park, she will park to car and start to walk to the main part of the park. Then I am going to have a long shot of Sean standing at the bridge, then as Danica starts to walk a over shoulder shot of Sean getting closer and Danica seeing him. Next they will suddenly break into dance together.

Scene 3
After the dance they have walked around a little and they go for a drink together, as they are sitting Danica looks at her phone and notices that her dad had called her and text her to come him immediately I need to show you something. So Danica rushes off to get the car and drive home. I am going to have a over shoulder shot of Danica looking at her phone but looking down to her phone. As Danica stands up I want to have a low angled shot looking to Sean sitting down. Also as she goes to leave I am going to have her hug Sean. I am going a mid shot here, to show they are both standing and both in a sad situation of her leaving Sean. I am then going to have the Sam shot of Danica in car and talking to her dad via the Bluetooth. So the side shot of Danica driving and talking.

Scene 4
In this scene it is going to be located in the living room. Here  I will have Daniel and my dad standing together. Danica walks in and isn't happy, when her dad introduces him to Danica, she isn't interested in him at all. Here I am going to have a mid shot of Danica not happy, as Daniel tries to take her hand to kiss. Then all of a sudden Danica admits she is seeing someone and texts Sean to come over and meet her dad.  I am going to have a close up then just have the Sean's and Gordon's hand in shot shaking hands. Then I am going to have a wide shoot of Danica and Sean sitting on the sofa and her dad looking angry. I am then then going to have Danica and Gordon and Sean standing up, then Gordon will take Danica and Sean's hand and give them to each other like a blessing.
